Title
Shopify Catalog Operations Specialist
What we are looking for
Short mission
Lifely is looking for a hands-on Shopify Catalog Operations Specialist to keep our website product information accurate, clean, and up to date.
You will work inside Shopify to create and update product listings, prices, stock availability, variants, images, and product-page details. Your work helps make sure customers see the right information before they buy.
This is a detail-heavy role. We need someone who has worked with Shopify products before, understands ecommerce listings, and cares about accuracy.
About Lifely / team context
Lifely is an Australian ecommerce company building and scaling home and family product brands. Our website is a core part of the business: customers rely on it for product details, pricing, stock information, images, and purchase confidence.
This role sits close to ecommerce, operations, product, and marketing. You do not need to be a developer, but you do need to be comfortable working carefully inside Shopify and handling product data without creating mistakes.
This role is a good fit if
- You have hands-on experience managing products inside Shopify.
- You enjoy accurate, structured admin work.
- You understand product listings, SKUs, variants, inventory, pricing, images, and product-page details.
- You naturally double-check your work before it goes live.
- You can spot missing or conflicting information and ask clear questions instead of guessing.
- You can help turn a repeatable task into a simple checklist or SOP.
This role is probably not a fit if
- You are mainly looking for a Shopify developer role.
- You dislike detailed product admin work.
- You need every step written for you before you can begin.
- You are careless with product data, pricing, or stock information.
- You prefer strategy-only ecommerce work rather than hands-on catalog execution.
Responsibilities
What you will own
You will help keep Lifely’s Shopify catalog accurate and consistent across product listings, pricing, inventory visibility, variants, and product-page content.
You will also help build the working checklist/SOP for this role, because the process is not fully documented yet.
What success looks like
After 90 days:
- Product listings are created and updated accurately.
- Prices, sale prices, stock visibility, variants, and product details are checked before going live.
- Product pages are cleaner, more consistent, and easier for customers to understand.
- Listing mistakes are caught early instead of reaching customers.
- A simple repeatable checklist/SOP exists for common Shopify listing updates.
- The team trusts you with routine catalog updates because your work is careful and reliable.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Create and edit Shopify product listings.
- Update product prices, sale prices, and product-page details.
- Update stock/inventory visibility where required.
- Set up and check product variants, SKUs, options, tags, and collections.
- Upload or organize product images and basic listing assets.
- Review product pages for mistakes before and after publishing.
- Compare source information against live website pages to catch gaps or inconsistencies.
- Flag missing, unclear, or conflicting product information to the right person.
- Help create and improve a simple SOP/checklist for product listing accuracy.
